Q: Does your company offer installations as well as supply?
A: The prices for dishes do not include fitting, but assuming one already has SKY, it will be easy to "upgrade" an installation from (Cy.£150 / €260 ) or use your own regular man. We welcome enquiries from professional installers.
Q: I have had a letter from SKY telling me that I must plug my digibox into a phone line. They tell me I will be cut off if I do not comply. What do i do?
A: We can supply you with a superdigi-dialler to allow your digibox to call SKY as if the receiver was in the UK. The cost is £165 including installation and setup.
Q: What guarantee do you offer on your dishes?
A: 1 years parts - excluding weather ( i.e VERY strong wind [force 10 plus] / wilful damage.
Q: Can we share the dish with our neighbours in an apartment complex?
A: Yes. All you need is a different LNB / Distribution box suitable for allowing dish sharing with no loss of signal. Each cable runs down to your respective apartment. You can watch any channel your receiver allows. It does not affect other users. It is as if you each have a dish. A dish can share, two, four and multiples above this without any signal loss.
Q: Does the price of the dish include the LNB ? (the bit that carries the signal via cable to your receiver) Yes, if you buy the receiver and installation package from us. No if you just buy a dish. You will probably have an LNB already if you are just upgrading the dish to a bigger size.
Q: I already have SKY and I receive their channels OK - Why should I upgrade?
A: You only need to buy one of our dishes if you want to reliably get BBC 1, ITV, etc.
Q Why do BBC1 / ITV etc need a bigger dish than my existing SKY channels?
A: These channels come from a different satellite than SKY's aimed purely at the UK. One needs a bigger dish to receive the signal.
Q: Can I buy a receiver from you?
A: Yes, - our range of receivers is listed on our website.
Q: Are you SKY / BBC approved?
A: NO - no company outside the UK or Ireland is approved to install dishes / receivers, as strictly speaking they are not licensed to broadcast outside these areas. There is no law against you receiving their free to air broadcasts. SKY subscriptions are again strictly only for UK/ Irish addresses.
Q: I am a Satellite installer / retailer. Can I purchase your dishes at trade prices?
A: You can purchase our dishes at the same price at the general public. The price is very fair. If you can buy 5 dishes or more at a time THEN call us to arrange terms.
Q: I'm not located in Cyprus. Can I still purchase your dishes?
A: Yes. Please go to our Feedback page and tell us your location. We will advise on dish size and delivery costs.
Q: I have a Freeview or ITV digital receiver. Will this work with your dishes?
A: Sorry, No. These receivers are designed to pick up UK transmissions via your TV ariel.
Q: What Brand / Manufacturer are you using for the dishes?
A: We use several Manufacturers as depending on your location, one brand may be better than another. We are NOT tied to one supplier, but we are giving you the best quality/price combination.
Q: I have a UK based Free to air Satellite receiver. Can it pick up ITV/ Channel4/Five, etc.
A: No this will ONLY receive BBC sourced channels. SKY, ITV, etc are all SUBSCRIPTION channels (Please don't ask us why you need to pay for ITV, etc. you just do !)
Q: I only want SKY.. not BBC/ITV, etc... What do I need?
A: If you just want SKY then a good 2.1m dish is sufficient for Paphos and 2.4m for Limassol. We would recommend over 2.4m for areas further East. We would advise on a individual basis.
